Beginning Guitar offers an introductory opportunity for children before committing to private lessons. In small groups, students learn the funadamentals of how to hold a guitar, basic guitar notation and classical guitar technique. After ten weeks, students are able to play several pieces, as well as accompaniments to those pieces. Classes are offered once a week in ten-week sessions. Students must provide their own classical or acoustic guitar for class and at-home practice, as well as some type of footstool in order to properly position the guitar.
