After a rocket launch kicks things off, participants in the Space Fest "Run the Solar System" Fun Run at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force will race through a scale version of the solar system, starting at the sun and passing all the planets, during the 5K run. The second annual run will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 4. This year's activities also include a one-mile kids' race, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Pre-registration entry fee for both the 5K run and the kids' race is $20 per person, which includes a t-shirt (fee increases to $25 after April 13). Registration also will be offered on the day of the event for $30, but a t-shirt is not guaranteed. Base access is not required to participate.
