How many bird species can be found in Glen Helen in just one day? With your help, we'll strive to beat our record of 90 species in this fundraiser and birdwatching marathon. Start the day by greeting the dawn at Grinnell Mill (3536 Bryan Park Rd.), then continue the search with walks through the Pine Forest and South Glen Wetlands, take a break and share your findings over complimentary sandwiches and coffee, go back out on the search through the South Glen, and end the day with a final tally and an owling hike (s'mores included!) There are two great ways to participate in this awesome event: 1. Make a per-species pledge to support habitat and ecological restoration in our most important annual fundraiser. (Visit www.glenhelen.org or mail in the attached pledge form.) 2. Join the one or more of our organized hikes to help find the birds! Hikes are open to birders of all experience levels-bring binoculars if you have them.
