Clinical Academic CareersHow to combine research and clinical practice

This event will focus at giving an overview of academic career trajectories combining clinical training and research. The audience will hear about personal experiences and also about potential options that allow an integration of both areas. Each speaker will give their own account of clinical research careers being involved in the field of neuroscience, explain how they got to where they are, what might come next in their career including strategic alternatives and how this fits in with their clinical training/work.
All speakers are at different career stages and will provide a specific perspective useful for future career plans for undergraduate students to more senior grant holders.
This event is aimed at medical students, MD/PhDs, postdocs and postgraduate students from disciplines that are interested in the combination of research and practice as well as junior PIs.
There will also be an opportunity to network with the speakers after the session.
