Hi! My friend Emily and I recently had a vision of a music festival designed to showcase young talent in Ohio. Imagine one packed day of incredible music, activities, and opportunities - all created by the brilliant minds of local teenagers. That is what we see in Young Blood Music Festival, to be held Saturday, August 2nd at Butler Country Fairgrounds. We envision it taking place on a farm, with not only local young musicians on multiple stages, but a showcase of young people in the arts as well as local food options. Along with that, the full day would feature activities, vendors, and the very musicians you see on stage walking around to experience the festival with you. Perhaps most importantly, all the profits will benefit To Write Love On Her Arms. TWLOHA, according to their mission statement, "is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide." You can find out more at twloha.com.We are so excited about Young Blood and the journey we are taking until the day arrives. We hope you'll join us. For a festival that celebrates the talent of the community, our hope is that the community itself will rise up to support their own members, as well as a deserving cause.
