The death of Cory Monteith not only has shaken up the cast of Glee, but it’s also caused the producers and writers to completely retool the first four shows of the fifth season, RumorFix has learned.
A press release obtained by RumorFix states:
“In light of the tragic passing of beloved Glee cast member Cory Monteith, the series’ executive producers, 20th Century Fox Television and Fox Broadcasting Company have jointly decided to delay the start of production of Glee until early August. Season Five of Glee will now premiere on Thursday, Sept. 26 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. No further details are available at this time.”
There is a rumor that Glee producers want to incorporate video of Cory in the first few episodes and tastefully deal with his passing, but that has not been confirmed yet.
The 31-year-0ld, who played loveable Finn Hudson — a quarterback turned Glee Club member — died of a overdose of heroin and alcohol last Saturday.
Donations in Cory’s name should be made to his favorite charities:
