DP&L crews continue to work on power outages

DAYTON, Ohio —

Dayton Power and Light Company crews are still working to repaira number of outages throughout the Miami Valley brought upon by pop-up thunderstorms on Saturday afternoon.

"We've got crews out in the field working to reapir the largest grup of outages," said Kevin Hall, DP&L spokesman.

At 6:33 p.m., DP&L reported 416 outages in Montgomery County and 404 in Greene County. There were also 331 outages reported in Shelby County, 89 in Miami County, 15 in Clinton County and one outage in Darke and Champaign counties.

Around 5 p.m., more than 4,000 outages were reported in Montgomery and Greene Counties. Hall said the largest concentration of outages is directly east and south of downtown Dayton.

"At this point we've got our crews out and we're going to restore power as quickly as possible this evening," he said.
